NOTICE OF SELETION Nº 02/2026 — PROPEP — CPG/UFAL/PPGE
MASTER'S PROGRAM IN EDUCATION
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
MASTER'S PROGRAM IN EDUCATION
(FIRST SEMESTER OF 2027)
The Office of the Vice-Provost for Research and Graduate Studies (PROPEP) and the
Coordination of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) stricto sensu of the Federal
University of Alagoas (UFAL) hereby make public, through this Notice, the regulations of
the Selection Process 02/2026 for the filling of vacancies at the Master's level, with
admission scheduled for the first academic semester of 2027, in accordance with the
PPGE's Bylaws.
The Program aims to contribute to strengthening educational policies and improving the
quality of Education in Alagoas, training teachers and researchers capable of intervening
effectively in the region's educational processes. The PPGE is structured into three
research lines: Policies, Cultures, and Curricula; Inclusion, Diversities, and Subjects; and
Education, Languages, and Technologies.
This Notice shall be valid from the date of its publication until the closing of the
enrollments related to this selection process.
PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS
1 - Of the Stricto Sensu Selection Process — 2027.1
The Selection Process for admission in the first semester of 2027 shall be carried out
under the responsibility of the Office of the Vice-Provost for Research and Graduate
Studies (PROPEP) and the Coordination of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) of
UFAL.
2 - Of the Challenge to the Notice
2.1. A period of July 13 to 14, 2026 shall be assured for the submission of challenges to
items of this Notice, which shall be evaluated by the Selection Committee.
2.2. Any candidate may request the challenge of items of the Notice, by means of a
written and substantiated petition, addressed to the Selection Committee, to be sent
exclusively to the e-mail: selecaoposgraduacao@cedu.ufal.br, within the deadline
established in item 2.1, under penalty of preclusion.
2.3. The challenge petition shall indicate, mandatorily, the item, paragraph, or
subparagraph to be challenged, accompanied by the proper legal substantiation.
2.4. The responses to the challenges shall be published in a single file, on the official
electronic address of the PPGE, within a deadline of up to 2 (two) business days after
the closing of the challenge period.
2.5. It shall be incumbent upon the Selection Committee to analyze and deliberate on
the challenges submitted, also within a maximum deadline of 3 (three) business days.
PUBLIC SELECTION PROCESS
3 - Of the Registration of Candidates
3.1. Holders of a diploma of an Undergraduate course in the field of Education or in
related areas, duly recognized by the MEC/CAPES, may participate in the PPGE Selection
Process, at the Master's level.
3.2. Candidates who are completing an Undergraduate course may also participate, if
they present, mandatorily, proof of completion of the said course by the date of
enrollment in the Graduate Program.
3.3. Foreign students who wish to register must comply with specific criteria established
by the institution. Admission is restricted to those who have ties with agreements signed
with Brazilian agencies, or who declare, in writing, that they will bear the expenses of
stay and food in Brazil, or who have been granted scholarships from their countries of
origin. Compliance with these conditions is essential for the registration process,
ensuring that institutional guidelines and international cooperation agreements are
respected. This policy ensures that academic exchange occurs in an organized manner
and aligned with the strategic objectives of the existing international partnerships.
VACANCIES FOR THE SELECTION PROCESS
4 - A total of 39 vacancies shall be offered, considering general vacancies and the quota
system. The filling of vacancies shall be carried out in accordance with the approval and
ranking of the candidates, considering that they compete for the vacancies made
available by the research lines and by the research groups indicated in Table 1.

5 - Of the Filling of Vacancies
The filling of vacancies, in accordance with the offer established in Table 1 of this Notice,
shall be carried out in accordance with the approval and ranking of the candidates,
considering that each candidate shall compete for the vacancy(ies) made available by
the research group previously indicated at the time of registration.
5.1. There is no obligation to fill all vacancies offered in this Notice.
6 - Of the Reservation of Vacancies (Affirmative Action Policy)
6.1. In accordance with Resolutions No. 37/2022 and No. 82/2022 — CONSUNI/UFAL, of
the 39 vacancies offered for the Master's program, 60% (sixty percent) are reserved for
the affirmative action modalities contemplated in this Notice, distributed as follows:
• 20% (twenty percent) for Black persons (pretos and pardos);
• 10% (ten percent) for persons with disabilities (PwD);
• 10% (ten percent) for trans persons (transgender, transsexual, and travesti), refugees,
and settled persons;
• 10% (ten percent) for Indigenous persons;
• 10% (ten percent) for UFAL staff members.
This distribution rule applies exclusively to Master's vacancies, as detailed in Table 2 of
this Notice.

6.2. Candidates who register for vacancies intended for affirmative action quotas shall
compete among themselves, and the candidate who obtains the highest final score shall
be approved and ranked, regardless of the research line and research group to which
they are linked.
6.3. Candidates who register for vacancies intended for UFAL staff members shall also
compete among themselves, regardless of the research line and research group, and
shall be ranked according to the highest final scores.
6.4. The vacancies reserved for affirmative action and for UFAL staff members are not
distributed by research line or research group, that is, there is no obligation to offer or
fill these quotas in each research line or research group.
6.5. There is no obligation to fill all vacancies reserved for the quotas provided for in this
Notice. Should these vacancies not be filled, they shall be automatically reverted to
general open competition, within the same research line.
6.6. Candidates registered as quota beneficiaries shall compete exclusively for the
vacancies intended for the quotas, in accordance with Table 2, and subsequent
migration to general open competition shall not be permitted.
6.7. The Selection Committee has the authority to grant or deny the registration of quota
candidates who do not present adequate supporting documentation.
a) Should the candidacy as a quota beneficiary be denied, the candidate shall
automatically migrate to general open competition.
b) The denial may occur during the homologation of registrations or after the Validation
Board of Heteroidentification, as the case may be.
6.8. Candidates who self-declare as Black, Indigenous, or trans persons shall be
submitted to a verification procedure of the declared condition, before the
homologation of the final result, in accordance with Resolution No. 82/2022 —
CONSUNI/UFAL.
a) For this procedure, the self-declared candidate shall appear before the Committee for
Diversity, Heteroidentification, and Ethnicity (CDHE), in accordance with the said
Resolution.
b) Candidates shall be called by Notice for the Validation Board of Heteroidentification,
under the terms of Resolution No. 38/2021 — CONSUNI/UFAL.
c) The Notice of Summons for the Validation Board shall be published on the official
PPGE website.
6.9. Candidates who self-declare as persons with disabilities (PwD) shall also be
submitted to a specific verification procedure, before the homologation of the final
result, in accordance with Resolution No. 19/2021 — CONSUNI/UFAL.
a) Self-declared PwD candidates shall be called by Notice for the Verification and
Validation Boards of the PwD Self-Declaration.
b) The Notice of Summons shall be published on the PPGE website.
6.10. All candidates, whether from general open competition, affirmative action, or
UFAL staff quotas, shall fully comply with all stages of the selection process, as
established in this Notice.
6.11. The reassignment of vacancies between research groups, within the same research
line, shall only be permitted in cases where there are unfilled vacancies.
OF THE REGISTRATIONS
7 - Registrations for this selection process are free of charge and shall be carried out in
the period from 00h00 of July 15, 2026, to 23h59 of August 13, 2026, through the
Integrated System for the Management of Academic Activities (SIGAA), via the link:
https://sigaa.sig.ufal.br/sigaa/public/processo_seletivo/lista.jsf?nivel=S&aba=pstricto,
selecting the number of this notice in the option "Regular Selection Process — Master's
of the PPGE."
a) All documentation requested for registration must be inserted electronically during
the registration process. Only documents in PDF format shall be accepted. Files in image
format shall not be accepted for any of the documents. Should any file be submitted in
a format other than the required one, the candidacy shall be invalidated at any time
during the selection process.
b) The candidate shall attach the digitized supporting documents saved only in PDF
format, sending them through a specific SIGAA questionnaire, at the time of registration,
respecting the period defined in this notice. Registration shall be confirmed after the
insertion of all required documents.
c) Registration shall be effected with the confirmation generated by the system, which
shall be printed for possible needs of proof.
d) For each item of the registration questionnaire, the sending of only one document is
permitted. Should the candidate need to insert several documents in a single item, they
shall compress them into a single file, saved in PDF format.
e) In the process of homologation of registration, the documents attached by the
candidates shall be checked by the Selection Committee. The subsequent inclusion of
documents shall not be permitted. Incomplete registrations sent improperly or outside
the deadlines established in this notice shall be denied.
f) The inclusion of any document after registration shall not be accepted.
g) The candidate who opts for the quota system vacancies shall attach, at the time of
registration, the specific self-declaration form, contained in Annexes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of
this notice.
7.1 - Required documentation for registration (all documents in PDF format):
a) 1 (one) 3x4 photo;
b) Identity Card or legal identification document with photo or, in the case of foreigners,
c) Passport, National Registry of Foreigners (RNE), or similar document;
d) Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF);
e) Copy of Diplomas/Certificates or Declarations of Course Completion, when applicable;
f) Registration Form (Annex 8) duly filled out and signed, under the responsibility of the
candidate;
g) Dissertation Research Project, containing only the identification of the research line
and the research group, as described in Annexes 9 and 10. IT IS PROHIBITED, under
penalty of denial of registration, to insert name, RG, CPF, or any other identification in
the project. The project shall be sent in PDF format, and the file name shall contain the
CPF number in the following format: xxx408.234xx.pdf;
h) Descriptive Academic Memorial, in accordance with Annexes 16 and 17 (maximum of
5 pages);

(http://lattes.cnpq.br/), duly proven with a copy of each of the titles and activities
developed in the last 4 (four) years. Other curriculum models shall not be accepted. Do
not include documents other than those required in Annex 15;
j) Digital copy of the specific self-declaration form (Annexes 1 to 5 of this notice) mandatory item for all quota candidates, in accordance with Resolution No. 82/2022 CONSUNI/UFAL;
k) Digital copy of the certificate of belonging to the Indigenous or Quilombola
community (only for Indigenous and Quilombola Black candidates);
l) Digital copy of the medical report (only for persons with disabilities), in accordance
with Annex 6;
m) Digital copy of the Descriptive Memorial, required for Black, Indigenous, trans,
and/or persons with disabilities candidates, in accordance with item 7.5;
7.2 - Additional rules on documentation
Documents shall be digitized without erasures. The absence of any of the mentioned
items or the illegibility of the digital copies shall prevent the granting of registration.
Under no circumstances shall printed documents be accepted.
7.3 - Requirements for PwD candidates:
Candidates for PwD quota vacancies shall attach, at the time of registration:
a) Specific self-declaration form (Annex 5);
b) Medical report, in accordance with Annex 6.
c) Specific request for detailing accessibility conditions — Biopsychosocial Assessment
Form (Annex 7).
7.4 - Analysis of medical reports:
The medical reports of candidates selected for PwD vacancies shall be forwarded for
analysis regarding the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and the International
Classification of Functioning (ICF), aiming to certify the existence of significant
impairments and restrictions in social participation. This is the first stage of the PwD
condition verification and validation process and shall be complemented with the
analysis of Annexes 5 and 7 and a biopsychosocial interview, when necessary.
7.5 - Memorial for affirmative action:
Black, Quilombola, Indigenous, trans, and/or persons with disabilities candidates shall
present a Descriptive Memorial, mandatory, with at least 2 (two) pages, typed or
handwritten, reporting their personal, school, and family life trajectory, as well as their
motivations for pursuing the Master's program at the PPGE, in accordance with
Resolution No. 82/2022 — CONSUNI/UFAL.
7.6 - Certificate of belonging for Quilombolas and Indigenous persons:
Quilombola and Indigenous candidates shall attach a certificate of belonging to their
respective community, issued by local leadership recognized by the Palmares Cultural
Foundation, by the National Coordination of Articulation of Rural Black Communities
(CONAQ), or by Indigenous leaderships, or by the National Foundation of Indigenous
Peoples (FUNAI), in accordance with Resolution No. 86/2018 — CONSUNI/UFAL.
7.7 - Document for UFAL staff members:
The candidate who competes for vacancies intended for UFAL staff members shall
attach, at the time of registration, a document proving effective and updated ties with
the institution.
7.8 - Denial due to incomplete documentation:
The candidate who does not electronically submit complete documentation shall have
their registration denied, without right to appeal.
7.9 - Technical responsibility:
The PPGE and the Office of the Vice-Provost for Research and Graduate Studies
(PROPEP/UFAL) shall not be responsible for technical problems related to the sending
of documentation.
7.10 - Verification of original documents:
The approved candidate shall present the original documents for authentication at the
time of institutional enrollment at the PPGE secretariat.
7.11 - Prohibition of subsequent inclusion of documents:
No additions of documents shall be accepted after registration, nor shall registration
with absence of documents required in this notice be homologated.
7.12 - Acceptance of the conditions of the notice:
Registration in the selection process implies knowledge and tacit acceptance of all
conditions established in this notice and its annexes, and no allegation of ignorance shall
be admitted.
7.13 - Responsibility for the information:
The information provided in the registration form shall be the sole responsibility of the
candidate. Filling out with false or insufficient information shall subject the candidate to
legal sanctions and exclusion from the competition.
7.14 - Limitation of registration:
Each candidate may carry out only one registration, choosing a single research line and
a single research group.
7.15 - Form of submission:
Registrations or sending of documents by Mail, e-mail, or in person at the PPGE
secretariat shall not be accepted.
DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION
8 - Of the Experience in the Field of Education
For candidates who compete for the PPGE vacancies, at the Master's level, and who are
completing or holders of a diploma of Undergraduate courses in areas related to
Education, proven experience in the field of Education is required.
8.1. The proof of experience for graduates from other areas shall be presented through
supporting documentation, to be attached at the time of registration.
8.2. The proof of experience in education may be made through documents such as:
Work and Social Security Card (CTPS), employment contracts, declarations from
educational institutions attesting to the exercise of teaching, term of office or
appointment, declaration of exercise of teaching activity, Certificate of Contribution
Time (CTC), or Contribution Statement from the INSS (CNIS).
9 - Of the Responsibility for the Documentation
The PPGE shall not be responsible, under any circumstances, for failures in the issuance
or transmission of documents via the internet, nor shall it receive any document related
to registration after its closing.
10 - Of Additional Information
Additional information about the Program may be obtained through the official
electronic page, e-mail, or physical address, as specified in Table 3 below, and subject to
the availability of the institutional internet provider:

OF THE SELECTION PROCESS AND EVALUATION OF CANDIDATES
11 - Of the Selection Committee
The selection process of candidates shall be carried out under the supervision of the
Selection Committee, composed of the PPGE Coordination, by faculty members
designated for this purpose by the Full Collegiate, and by a representative of the PPGE
administrative staff.
11.1. To ensure impartiality in the selection process, the examining board shall produce
minutes, containing conclusive information about the session, including the declaration
of non-existence of impediments or suspicions that may constitute a conflict of interest.
This minutes shall be kept under the custody of the PPGE, to meet possible requests
from candidates, the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF), or other control bodies.
12 - The Selection Process shall consist of 5 (five) stages (Table 4).

13.1. The result of all phases of the competition shall be published by means of the CPF
or registration number in the SIGAA of the candidate.
14 - The Evaluation of the Research Project, the first stage of the selection, is of an
eliminatory nature, followed by the Written Examination, also eliminatory.
14.1. The Research Project shall contain at least 12 (twelve) and at most 20 (twenty)
pages, including the cover page and References. It shall be presented in accordance with
the recent ABNT standards and the following formatting: A4 paper; font 12; Times New
Roman; spacing 1.5 between lines (except in quotations); the margins shall obey the
following spacing: top margin 3cm, bottom 2cm, left 3cm and right 2cm; quotations of
up to three lines shall be in quotation marks, in the body of the text, with the same type
and size of font as the normal text; quotations from four lines shall be in Times New
Roman 10, with left indentation of 4cm.
14.2. The Research Project shall present the following structure:
● COVER: title of the project, Research Line and Research Group competing for the
vacancy. (Do not indicate any type of information that characterizes or identifies the
candidate and in no context of the project). The Project shall receive a code, informed
by SIGAA.
● JUSTIFICATION: with discriminant of the object and the problem to be investigated, as
well as historical contextualization of the research object. Demonstration of the
scientific and social relevance of the object, a brief discussion that circumscribes the
object to be worked on, and the temporal and geographical delimitation of the study, as
well as its insertion in the research group.
● OBJECTIVES: presentation in a comprehensible manner of the general and specific
objectives of the project.
● THEORETICAL FOUNDATION: presentation of the hypotheses and theoretical sources
that will be worked on in the project, updating, contextualization, and articulation
between the sources and the contribution to their object of study.
● METHODOLOGY: typology/approach, location, discussion of the method for the
treatment of the sources of the research object and methods of collection and
interpretation of the data that will be collected. Description of the research participants
(when appropriate), instruments or techniques of collection and analysis of data.
● TIMELINE: presentation of the necessary stages for the fulfillment of the project.
● REFERENCES: indication of the sources and bibliography cited in the project.
14.3. The Research Project shall be written in Portuguese and the candidate shall, under
no circumstances, mention their name in the project nor suggest the advisor professor,
under penalty of elimination from the selection process. In the case of a deaf candidate
who is a user of Brazilian Sign Language as a first language, the analysis shall consider
that the writing was done in a second language (Portuguese — written modality).
14.4. Should the Research Project not have adherence to the proposition of the ongoing
Research developed by the chosen research group (Annex 10), the candidate shall be
disqualified.
14.5. The Research Project shall be evaluated in accordance with the aspects described
in Annex 11 of this Notice and its evaluation is of an eliminatory nature.
15 - The Written Examination, of an eliminatory nature, shall take place in person at the
Center for Education — CEDU/UFAL and on a specific day according to the calendar
available on the PPGE website.
15.1. The Written Examination shall take place ONLY with candidates approved in the
Evaluation of the Research Project.
15.2. For the Written Examination, twice the number of vacancies offered by Research
Group shall be called, among the candidates approved in the previous stage. Example:
If the research group is indicating the offer of 3 vacancies for the Master's program, 6
candidates approved in the Evaluation of the Research Project stage shall be called for
the written examination.
15.3. The Written Examination is a textual production of the argumentative-dissertative
type, with a minimum of 2 (two) pages, on the theme presented at the time of the
written examination, based on the bibliography recommended for the research line
(Annex 12).
15.4. The Written Examination shall be evaluated in accordance with the aspects
described in Annex 13 of this Notice and its evaluation is of an eliminatory nature.
16 - The Defense and defense of the Research Project is of an eliminatory nature and
shall consist of the argumentative discussion about the Research Project delivered at
the time of registration.
16.1. ONLY candidates who are approved in the Evaluation of the Research Project and
in the Written Examination shall carry out the Defense and defense of the Research
Project.
16.2. The Defense and defense of the Research Project shall take place in person at the
Center for Education - CEDU/UFAL, according to the calendar available on the PPGE
website.
16.3. The Defense and defense of the Research Project, of an eliminatory nature, shall
take place before a selection board composed of 2 (two) faculty members, with at least
one faculty member from the research line in which the candidate is competing, and
may also include a faculty member from another research line, or faculty members with
a doctoral degree who are linked to Graduate Programs and develop research in areas
related to those of the PPGE, indicated by the Selection Committee, lasting up to 30
(thirty) minutes, with 15 (fifteen) minutes for the presentation of the project by the
candidate and 15 (fifteen) minutes for the questioning of the project by the board
members. The defense shall be carried out in alphabetical order.
16.4. For the evaluation of the Defense and defense of the Research Project, the
selection board shall take into consideration the aspects described in Annex 14.
16.5. Other PPGE faculty members may participate in this stage in the condition of
listeners, and the possibility of questioning the candidate at the time of their evaluation
is prohibited.
17 - The Analysis of the Academic Memorial and the Curriculum shall be carried out by
the Selection Committee and Faculty Members of the Research Line in which the
candidate is competing. For curriculum evaluation, only titles whose documentation has
proof in the last quadrennium shall be computed in the score.
17.1. The analysis of the Curriculum shall obey the criteria set forth in Annex 15 of this
Notice.
17.2. Titles presented that exceed the maximum score provided for in Annex 15 shall
not be considered for scoring purposes.
17.3. The analysis of the Academic Memorial shall obey the criteria set forth in Annex
17 of this Notice.
18 - In each eliminatory stage, the candidate who competes for general open
competition vacancies shall be considered Approved or Ranked if they obtain a score
equal to or greater than 7.00 (seven) in the stages of the selection process.
19 - In accordance with the provisions of Resolutions No. 37/2022 and No.
82/2022/CONSUNI-UFAL, a candidate for quota vacancies shall be considered Approved
or Ranked if they obtain a score equal to or greater than 6.0 (six) in each stage of the
selection process.
19.1. The scores of quota candidates shall be published separately from general open
competition candidates.
20 - The Final Score of the candidate shall be made from the average of all stages of the
selection process, considering the respective weights.
20.1. The candidate may be approved, but not selected, observing the number of
vacancies made available in item 4 of this Notice.
21 - The PPGE, represented in the figure of the Selection Committee, reserves the right
not to fill all vacancies made available in item 4 of this Notice.
21.1. Candidates shall be selected up to the number of vacancies provided for in item 4
of this Notice. The final ranking of candidates shall be carried out in descending order of
the final score and availability of vacancies within the research line in which they are
competing.
22 - In the event of a tie in scores, the following tie-breaking criteria shall be used in the
respective order: candidate who obtains the highest score in the Defense and defense
of the Research Project; candidate who obtains the highest score in the Written
Examination;
23 - The quantity of vacancies established for each line may not be altered. In the event
of excess vacancies in a given research line, these shall not migrate to another line.
24 - All eliminatory stages of the Selection Process shall be carried out in person, and it
shall be the responsibility of the candidate to provide the necessary means for
participation in each of them.
25 - The results of all stages shall be published on the electronic page of the Graduate
Program in Education.
26 - The candidate may follow the progress of the process by using the login and
password created at the time of registration.
OF THE FINAL RESULT AND APPEALS
27 - The partial and final results shall be published in accordance with the calendar
contained in this Notice and its Annexes on the electronic page of the PPGE.
27.1. The candidate may appeal the results of the evaluations. To do so, they must: 1)
register the appeal in SIGAA (page https://sigaa.sig.ufal.br/sigaa/public/home.jsf), in the
candidate's area (Annex 18); and 2) fill out the Appeal Form (Annex 19), and send it to
the Selection Committee by e-mail selecaoposgraduacao@cedu.ufal.br (subject: Appeal
Notice 02/2026), within the established deadlines.
27.2. For any communication from the candidate regarding this Notice, the candidate
shall mandatorily use the same e-mail registered in SIGAA.
27.3. The appeals submitted shall be forwarded for analysis by the Selection Committee,
which shall issue a conclusive analysis on the matter, with all members of the board who
participated in the evaluation in question necessarily participating in the analysis of the
appeals.
27.4. After the results, the candidate may appeal to PROPEP, within a deadline of up to
72 (seventy-two) hours, counted from the publication. To do so, a process must be
opened in the General Protocol of UFAL (Rector's Office), directing it to PROPEP/CPG
(Coordination of Graduate Studies).
27.5. The result shall be published in accordance with the calendar contained in this
Notice and its Annexes on the electronic page of the Graduate Program in Education.
27.6. For the composition of the calculation of the final score of the stages of the
selection process, the average obtained from the arithmetic average presented in the
following formula shall be considered:

29 - The candidate for the quota demand may have access to the evaluators'

scores below 6.0 (six), and the Selection Committee and PPGE Secretariat shall have a
deadline of up to 24 hours for the sending of the requested reports.
OF ENROLLMENT AND BEGINNING OF THE COURSE
30 - At the time of enrollment, approved and ranked candidates shall present
authenticated copies of the following original documents:
a) Copy of the Proof of Military Obligations (for male candidates);
b) Voter Registration Card;
c) Proof of clearance with the Electoral Justice for Brazilians, obtained from the website
of the Regional Electoral Court (TRE);
d) National Registry of Foreigners or Passport for foreigners;
e) Two 3x4 photos;
f) Copy of the Diploma or Certificate of Completion of the Undergraduate Course issued
by the Institution where the title was obtained, this document must contain institutional
authentication and the absence of this document at the time of enrollment shall imply
the disqualification of the candidate;
g) Copy of the Undergraduate Academic Transcript.
30.1. The Foreign Candidate or Brazilian Holder of Diplomas of Undergraduate Courses
from Higher Education Institutions (HEI) abroad must have their diploma recognized by
Brazilian HEIs at the time of enrollment in the PPGE, under penalty of elimination if they
do not present such proof.
31 - The right to enroll in the PPGE courses shall be granted to candidates APPROVED
AND RANKED, respecting the limits of the vacancies established in Item 4 of this Notice
and in accordance with the availability of vacancies of the research group to which the
candidate opted at the time of registration.
32 - The institutional and academic enrollment of selected candidates shall be made at
the coordination of the Graduate Program in Education by the candidate or by their legal
representative, in a period to be published together with the publication of the final
result of the selection referred to in this Notice and the candidate shall present the
required and authenticated documentation.
32.1. Enrollment in the Master's courses of the PPGE shall be carried out by the
approved and ranked candidate with a Diploma of Graduation issued by official HEIs
recognized by the MEC or Certificate of Completion of the Undergraduate Course with
the date of the graduation ceremony issued up to six months before the last day of
enrollment in the PPGE. Declarations and/or certificates of completion of the
Undergraduate Course shall not be accepted.
32.2. A candidate who is approved and ranked and who does not effect academic
enrollment in the period determined in this Notice or in the period published on the
PPGE website, after the result of the competition, shall be considered to have
withdrawn.
32.3. In the case of an approved and ranked foreign candidate, the presentation of a
student visa is required.
32.4. In the event of withdrawal from enrollment, a call shall be made to approved
candidates, considering the order of ranking and the availability of an advisor professor.
IX - FINAL PROVISIONS
33 - The registration of the candidate implies knowledge and acceptance of the norms
and conditions established in this Notice and its respective annexes.
34 - The candidate shall be excluded from the selection process who:
a) fails to attend any stage of the selection process; or
b) presents behavior considered incompatible with the fairness of the competition, at
the exclusive discretion of the Selection Board; or
c) appears at the in-person stages after the time set for the beginning of the defense
and defense of the research project and the written examination.
35 - Scholarships that may be made available by funding agencies may be offered to
students, meeting the criteria established by the Funding Agencies (CAPES OR FAPEAL),
by CONSUNI/UFAL, by these institutions, and by the Council of the Graduate Course in
Education, and the granting of scholarships to approved and ranked candidates is not
guaranteed.
35.1. Possible scholarship grants imply that the scholarship holder must comply with the
requirements and commitments established by the funding agency and by the graduate
program, and non-compliance with these norms may lead to the suspension or
cancellation of the scholarship.
35.2. Approved and ranked candidates from other States do not have privileges in
scholarship grants, and are responsible for displacement, housing, and subsistence in
the territory of Alagoas.
36 - Changes related to the dates and times of the carrying out of the selective stages,
weight and scoring shall be published on the PPGE website.
37 - The Results of the Selection Stages of this Notice shall only be valid for the semester
2027.1, and their use for future selections is not permitted.
38 - Candidates approved and ranked in the selection process referred to in this Notice
shall take a foreign language proficiency examination, in accordance with the PPGE
Bylaws and subsequent guidelines, in a calendar to be published during the academic
year.

PERSON WITH DISABILITY (PwD)
This instrument seeks to ensure and promote, on an equal basis, the exercise of the
rights and fundamental freedoms of the person with disability, aiming at their social
inclusion and citizenship. In accordance with art. 2º, of the Brazilian Law of Inclusion of
the Person with Disability — Law No. 13,146/2015 —, the information provided in this
